Located on Burton Road, AW Lymn's Littleover branch opened in May 2017 and funeral arranger Dan Barnes is in charge of the office, along with senior funeral director Kevin Hall.
The premises offer a reception area, visitation rooms, family room, cold room facilities and a ritual washing area.
Dan is available to see clients from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, or at any other time by appointment – the telephone number operates 24 hours a day.
The office is called Meek House and is named after David and Shelagh Meek, both Littleover residents and long serving members of staff at A.W. Lymn. Husband and wife team David and Shelagh opened the main Derby office on Becket Street in 1985.
Nigel Lymn Rose, former president of the National Association of Funeral Directors’ manages A. W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service, along with his sister Jackie and his son Matthew.

From the very start Daniel, Kevin, and everyone from AW Lymn were professional in the way they assisted me, my brother and my mother in helping us giving my father the very best send off we could've ever asked for.
They were even able to accommodate my mother's request to have my father's Hindu last rites be performed at our home for her peace of mind and incorporate a Hindu Pandit his send off.
Thank you for everything I could not recommend yourself and your company enough.

Dan and the team were fantastic and worked with me to ensure the day was all about my mum, in every way. The quality of the planning, finding us just the right speaker, the care they gave to us on the day and the after care has been superb. It made the whole experience far from sad. They delivered all of her wishes without fault and I give a big shout out to the plume supplier who followed the cars to our house until it stopped raining to put them on the cars so they looked their best. Nothing was too big or too small for them.
I know who I am booking my own funeral with now :) thank you! x

We were extremely pleased with the service provided. The staff were thoughtful, compassionate, and empathetic, always willing to go the extra mile for us. Their professionalism was evident during each of our visits to the funeral parlour, and on the day of the funeral, everything was handled with great care and efficiency. They were punctual and offered support exactly where it was needed. The communication throughout the process was excellent. From our first meeting with Dan Barnes at A W Lymn, each step for organising the funeral was covered in detail. All options and costs were clearly explained. Their “Service Brochure” was an excellent source of information and ideas.
Despite a tight schedule, Dan pulled it all together on time.
At an emotionally difficult time, and with no knowledge of how to plan or arrange a funeral, it was such a relief to find that compassion and customer care can still be found.
We could not fault the service provided by Dan and all those at A W Lymn.

We received excellent service from Dan Barnes in the Littleover office of A.W. Lymn - he was a very good communicator and he was a reliable and empathetic individual. On the day of the funeral the service was also excellent led by Neil. He was attentive to detail and peoples needs. We were very happy and content that it went well.
