A.W. Lymn's Derby office was originally opened by funeral director David Meek in 1986 and the premises are located in the City Centre, at Derwent House, on Becket Street.
The office features garaging for a new fleet of Rolls Royce Phantom cars and also displays a hearse from the 1890’s. Derwent House includes a reception, off-street parking, a family room, a visitation room, cold room facilities and washing facilities for Asian and African / Caribbean funeral rites.
Kevin Hall, the senior funeral director who manages the surrounding area, has been with A W Lymn since 2003 and is aided at the branch by funeral arranger Greg Martin.
The office opening hours are 9 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 12.30 pm on Saturday. You can call anytime of the day, seven days a week to schedule an appointment outside of these hours if you would prefer.
This branch covers Derby city centre and its surrounding areas including Allestree, Alvaston, Belper, Breadsall, Chaddesden, Darley Abbey, Duffield, Littleover, Mackworth, Markeaton, Osmaston, Pride Park, Sinfin, Spondon and beyond.
Nigel Lymn Rose along with his son Matthew and his sister Jackie own and manage A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service.
Everything went really well. There was just one thing, I asked for 5ft flowers and they were 3ft 6.

On investigating this for you today the florists have provide me with photographs and it does appear that the tribute was 5ft as it should have been, but clearly this does not overcome your disappointment with it and for that we are very sorry. I chose A W Lymn because I thought their website looked very professional and the service my family and I got from Pippa and Kevin supported that thought. Pippa was professional and explained everything clearly and in detail, nothing was too much trouble.Kevin was professional and thoughtful on the day of the funeral, allowing us the time which we needed to begin our grieving process.Stephen Wakeling conducted the "Celebration of Life" in a very empathic manner. We would highly recommend this funeral company.
