Daniel and the staff at Strathmore House did a marvellous job of helping the family at a very difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble and it meant we could give Dad the type of funeral he would have wanted.

Absolutely appalling, felt very neglected from the very start. Funeral director not available when we were told to meet them after been ushered into a room and forgotten about. Didn’t find out if we could visit my father until the afternoon before his 9am funeral the next day. Casket details were not asked for so we were told we could just use the one they had spare and when I went to collect fingerprints they had to be searched for (under pieces of paper) on reception desk. When I called to ask when my fathers ashes were going to be buried (bank holiday Monday)I was told the date and time (the following Wednesday). I asked if someone was going to inform us of this and was told we got the day we requested - we did, however,  this was never confirmed and we certainly did not know the time. I fear this could have easily been missed if I had not called.
We feel very let down when we should have felt reassured and taken care of during what I can only describe as one of the hardest experiences of our lives. Not only were we failed but so was my father.

Really great service from notification of death through to completion of funeral and all services. Our father had taken out a funeral plan and all areas were Really empathetic during all stages, helpful and made the whole process simple for our family. We were never made to feel we were dealing with individual departments, it was all very joined up. Great after service too. Would thoroughly recommend.

We only received a telephone call to arrange the funeral we couldn't even have a face ro face appointment. After that call I had to get in touch with Dan because any emails he was meant to send i didn't receive then he was supposed to send me the announcement for the Hartlepool life but he sent it to them first and when I received it there was a mistake. Nobody got in touch with us after the funeral was arranged. Dan said he would phone me when the paperwork was ready to sign but didn't so I had to phone him. On the day if the funeral the receptionist told us to go in a room nobody came to see us or explain anything. I went outside to talk to them and found out Dan wasn't at work and giving had been called in but nobody came to tell us that. We have had no phone calls at all since the funeral but were told we'd get a follow up call in 2 days it is now 9 days later and were still waiting. A lmore detailed letter of complaint is getting handed in to Strathmore House regarding this. My mam is deeply upset over this. We get the impression because the funeral was prepaid nobody was interested if it wasn't prepaid I wouldn't of been willing to pay for such a diabolical service I would have reported it to trading standards. My worry is my mams funeral is prepaid as well and are we going to get treated as bad when the time comes.

The staff was lovely, and they could not do enough for you. They made you comfortable as soon as you entered there building. I could not ask for a better fundral, would totally recommend them.

Can’t really put into words how Amazing Elizabeth and all her team at Strathmore House were from beginning to end,Very Good at their job profession but most of all their  Friendly,supported manner deffinately 100% couldn’t have gotten through this sad experience without each and everyone of them. Could not fault the funeral at all. The pre organisation was second to none,they really looked after us. A very difficult time was eased by the care and professionalism . Thankyou all so much.
