From meeting Tracey our funeral director and the team who work from Gibson House in Consett, they provided a professional and empathetic service. Nothing was too much trouble, our wishes were followed to the letter, and they did everything possible to ensure the day went as smoothly as possible. They are great ambassadors for the Co Op funeral services.

When our Dad died, Co-op Funeralcare, Consett made sure that everything was really well arranged and each stage clearly explained to us. Very useful help and suggestions with all the organising. The staff were genuinely interested and concerned that we had all the information, had considered all the options and that everything went smoothly which it did. The staff are very experienced and know exactly what they are doing which means that a very distressing and worrying time was made more bearable due to their care and compassion shown to us and to our Dad.

My Local CoOp Funeralcare Offices (Consett and Stanley) were lovely and did their best to rectify the situation after a terrible initial mistake (that my Mam's funeral plan had been cashed-in, when, in fact, it had not) at CoOp records office, which led me to put in an official complaint. 

CoOp upheld my complaint and told me that they were sorry that the mistake had been made but then claimed that the mistake was made because CoOp were not provided with a Funeral Plan Number...although I had provided this number to my local CoOp office, as requested, on the morning following my Mam's death...a fact that my Local Office does not dispute.

I have informed CoOp that I am not satisfied with their response to my complaint, even though they advised me to "Please treat this as our final response"

I have been disgusted and appalled by CoOp Funeralcare Head Office. They have upset me greatly at an awful time dealing with the death of my wonderful Mam.

I couldn't of asked for a better send off for my dad. From the day he died to the receiving of the ashes it was all dealt with professionally. Both the Consett and Stanley branches have been exceptional with all their help. They kept me informed at all times what was happening and guided me through the whole process. Well done to all involved

Excellent customer services from Joanne, she could not have been more helpful.
However, I don't thinks a good idea to ask for a review of the service provided until a good few weeks afterwards. We still.havent even had our loved ones ashes back yet!

Co-op Funeral Care were respectful and empathic from start to finish; they kept me updated every step of the way and I felt that my relative was well cared for.. On the day of the funeral everything ran very smoothly and professionally.
