From our initial contact with Emily through to my wife's funeral yesterday you have all acted in a caring and professional manner whilst being sympathetic to our needs at this very difficult time. Yesterday was a challenging day yet it progressed seamlessly even though you had to shoehorn people into the building. Thank you for your care and guidance.

From the first phone call for you to collect my Mam the gentleman and lady who came to my Dads were just perfect.Very sympathetic polite courteous and treat my Mam with the upmost respect.They were lovely.Coming down to your office in Chester-le-Street we spoke to a gentleman named Phil who again was very sympathetic polite and courteous.He was very informative and explained everything so that we understood .nothing was a bother for him or the other ladies who worked there.When Mam was laid in the chapel of rest she looked so peaceful beautiful infact..Out of her pain.Thank you for all your help support that you gave us as a family..You made an awful experience bearable.

I can’t honestly think of any way in which my mother’s cremation service could have been handled any better. The funeral director, Phil Wymer, guided me through the process with great empathy and experience, every detail covered with kindness and understanding. I learned afterwards that the Chester le Street branch is the busiest in the country and yet I was still made to feel as though my mother’s cremation was hugely important to them. The entire event was handled with great dignity and respect and even when because of a snowstorm the service was slightly delayed there was never any pressure to ‘move things along’. My sincere thanks to Phil and his colleagues and to Co op Funeralcare.

Following the death of my wife, the Funeral Service team, particularly Phil Wymer, the undertaker, brought a calm, professional presence to bear, their experience covering all the little details you would never get round to thinking about. The result was a completely smooth and unobtrusive service on the day of the funeral and indeed in the weeks leading up to that day. I can't recommend them highly enough.

My husband died unexpectedly in Oct. We had never discussed the possibility that he might die and in the event of this what arrangements would need to be made. John had never talked about plans for his funeral. I really didn't know what to do. Phil, the funeral director guided me through this. He was very approachable, sensitive and supportive throughout the process. He gave me time to think things through and I never felt under pressure. I can't thank him and Hilary, the celebrant, enough for their kindness, understanding and support.
John's funeral service was lovely. Family and friends commented that it really captured John's spirit. I don't think John would have wished for more had he planned his own funeral.
I would fully recommend your service to others.
