I had to arrange my first funeral for my late uncle on my own and I was totally overwhelmed.
The staff at Chester le street Cooperative funeralcare were fantastic.
They were so caring and supportive and nothing was any trouble. I truly believe they care about you and your loved one in there care.
Phil, the director who looked after me and my uncle was first class.
I walked into the home as a stranger and left feeling like a friend.
The staff here helped make an extremely difficult and distressing time much easier
and they were there to guide and support you throughout.

Being the first funeral I have had to arrange it was a daunting prospect but co-op funeral care was very professional and efficient from start to finish helping to ease my stress and explain everything with compassion and understanding from the planning stage to the actual day of the funeral. Everything was absolutely perfect from the moment I called to say my Mam had passed away. Every person I spoke to was professional and caring and seemed genuine. The service was very quick from collecting my Mam at home to having an appointment with Kirst at Annfield Plain the next day. My Dad was very upset and worried about going but Kirsty was fabulous, she did not rush anything and listened to many stories about my Mam and Dad. She kept him going throughout. I had a lot of help and emails and calls with Kirsty over the next week and they were all caring and helpful. We visited Mam at the Chapel of Rest and Barbara there was also amazing. She chatted with my Dad to calm him down when he came out and again let us take as much time as needed. Phil was in charge of the service for us and called to talk to me the week before, he also called my Dad to introduce himself. On the day it ran like clockwork and Phil was fabulous, talking to my Dad when he drove us home. I could not be happier with the service we received and would recommend the Co-op to anyone. I would be happy to give further feedback or recommendation as needed.

I couldn't fault funeral care Chester-le-Street there service was exceptional. My daughter was looked after as were all the family. She left a nine year old boy and the driver of our car did everything she could to make him feel at ease it was lovely. They made a very had day easier to get through. Sheena Perrin

Excellent service with plenty of communication and follow up phone calls. Impressed with promptness of how everything was dealt with and with such sensitivity and care. Touched that a follow up call was made after the funeral to ask about my own well-being and how everything went.
