Our Traditional Funeral Service price includes:

Conveyance of deceased into our care within a 15 mile radius. For distances further than this a surcharge normally applies
Preparation and care of your loved one in private and modern hygienic facilities
Care, support, and guidance before, during, and after the funeral
Our full professional service that includes 24hr a day availability to carry out our client’s instructions in a caring and dignified manner
We will discuss with you, and complete on your behalf, all the necessary arrangements and documentation. This can be carried out in the comfort of your own home, over the phone, or at our premises in Bude or Launceston over a cup of tea or coffee. Evening or weekend arrangements can be made with you in advance, at no extra cost
We will take instruction from you and liaise with all the required third parties on your behalf.
Full written confirmation of arrangements and breakdown of costs will be provided to you for agreement prior to the funeral
Supply of a standard Oak Veneered Coffin suitable for burial or cremation. Alternative coffins are available, a surcharge normally applies
Use of our Chapel of Rest facilities to view your loved one. Evening or weekend arrangements can be made with you in advance, at no extra cost
Provision of our ‘modern classic’ Jaguar Hearse. A surcharge normally applies to non-local Churches and Crematoria
Online obituary with Funeral Guide via our website, and social media if requested
Taking care of and forwarding charitable donations to your chosen charity that we may receive on your behalf. Charitable donations may also be made via the Obituary page on our website in partnership with Just Giving
Conveyance of Cremated Remains from local Crematoria back into our care. Once you have advised us of your wishes, we can convey them to your home address locally, or you may wish to collect them yourself from our premises in Bude or Launceston
Free access to SAIF Care, a UK wide bereavement support service

Priding themselves on providing a caring, compassionate and empathetic service, Denise Wellington Funeral Services are an independent funeral director in Bude. Both Denise and Daryl Wellington were born in Bude, went to school in Bude and have been involved with the Community of Bude and surrounding areas in many ways throughout their lives. During this time, they have become well known and trusted members of the local community.

With over 30 years collective experience in the funeral profession, during which time Denise has successfully gained her Diploma in Funeral Directing, Denise Wellington Funeral Services have a genuine knowledge and understanding of how to support bereaved families at their time of need.

Denise Wellington Funeral Services offers a large choice of coffins, caskets, and coffin furniture, suitable for both burials and cremations. The range includes several carefully built environmentally friendly, fully biodegradable coffins, as well as all of the traditional options you would expect, such as oak and elm. Denise Wellington owns and maintains its own fleet of Jaguar limousines and hearses, so you can travel in comfort and dignity to the service.

The funeral home on the outskirts of Bude provides a naturally tranquil, comforting and spacious setting to discuss any aspect of your loved ones funeral, or simply to pop in for an informal chat over a cup of tea or coffee.

This is the second occasion in less than 2 years I have had to call on the services of Denise and her team and on both occasions I cannot think of any way things could have been better handled. Denise is warm, compassionate and very efficient. You know immediately that you are in very good and capable hands. We were gently led through the processes involved and throughout she or her team made themselves readily available for any queries or requests we might have. Everything we wanted was made possible, however unusual the request - from a home burial to taking a coffin out to the cliffs on a tractor and trailer before burial. When we were unable to read out things we wanted said, she took over that role for us and was able to recommend an excellent celebrant for the post burial celebration of life. I cannot recommend her service too highly.
