Family support and service provided were excellent. All staff showed compassion, flexibility and assistance when required. The service and committal were well organised and issue free on the day, mum would have been so pleased with her send off with credit and thanks to Arlene and the team at the coop.

I would like to convey my many thanks to everyone at the funeral parour in Alloa. At all times they were professional, sensitive and caring. The patience they showed to myself trying to make decisions with my mum and then changing them was amazing. It is one of the saddest times of your life, going through the death of a loved one but having the Co op in Alloa look after it make things so much easier.

The Co-operative team in Alloa were amazing but their after hours service, not so much We were told that Adele’s body would be available for viewing week beginning 9/01/22 However. we were contacted on Friday 7th at 12.00 to say we could view at 16.00 I told Arlene that my brother in law might not make it That would not be a problem as the out of hours director would fix it Not the case He was asked which country Alloa was in, then told that our plan, did not cover an out of hours service Despite a grovelling call from my son, they would not move Wasted an otherwise 5 star service

The funeral process on the day was relevantly straightforward but the process to get to this point was to say the least strewn with obstacles. My mother had purchased a pre-paid bond the number which i had supplied prior to parlour appointment. On visit the representative had not checked the bond details and had to make call to head office for over the phone. Date for service was not arranged at meeting and representative advised she would contact me later in day, the parlour failed to contact me with date I called the following day and the representative made a call to arrange date and time for cremation.
I then received a call the following day to confirm that dates of services in December were of only 15 minutes when my date was in January the representative misread the screen.
