I'm so incredibly grateful for the local service... no, the local friendship I received during this most emotionally turbulent of times, that I'm nearly going to pretend a young lady in a Co-op call centre didn't call me up less than two days after Mum's death to try and sell me probate services. It's no doubt excellent help at a fair price, but it was not what I needed then and not who I'll be using now. Corporations can be clumsy, despite the best of intentions.

Fortunately, my local representatives were not clumsy. Far from it. They were so wonderful, in all the ways you'd want fellow human beings to be at a time like this, that even that corporate call can't diminish my gratitude at the overall experience, and earns them the highest rating. Their help in getting Mum where she wanted to be in a careful, considered, respectful, and genuinely sympathetic fashion was flawless and very, very much appreciated.

As I said to them, sometimes you meet folk and feel you're dealing with people who aren't just playing a role, they're genuinely good people in roles they are ideally suited to. So I thank everyone at High St, Macclesfield for their part in such an important rite of passage. While it's a service we pay for, you can't buy compassion, and you can't buy the peace of mind that comes from knowing we -- including our temporary family at High St. Co-op Funeralcare -- did our best to look after Mum right up to the point where she rejoined her mother, at last.

Everything from start to finish was dealt with in a professional manner, nothing was too much trouble. We were kept up to date with all the arrangements and transfers, it made it more manageable for us as a family, for the ladies and gentlemen at the co-op, to take care of all the arrangements at a very difficult time.

Cannot speak highly enough of the staff and service we received.

My Mum had a prepaid service and the Coop Funeral service took care of everything. It was hassle free, something which was a godsend during a difficult time. I can't recommend them enough.

I cannot fault any aspect of the attention, care, professionalism and empathy the personnel of Macclesfield Co Op showed.
And I can't express my gratitude enough to Lorraine, Joanne and Cathy who looked after Jim and myself throughout the whole process.
The order of service was beautiful, a wonderful tribute to Jim, my oldest friend. The service itself was like nothing I had experienced before. Nothing short of beautiful, wonderful and emotional. Thank you Cathy.

From start to finish Co-op Funeral care Macclesfield have been wonderful. First, my husband and I whilst being with mum when she passed away at Brookview nursing home, we waited for the undertakers to come to the home, Debbie and Mark (undertakers) were so kind and understanding whilst we said our last goodbyes to mum. Secondly, Lorraine who welcomed us at the Funeral Home with open arms, she discussed everything with us and there were moments where I was worrying about a lot of little things and Lorraine was there for us and reassured us all the way through, no matter what myself or my husband needed or wanted to talk about Lorraine was just a phone call away. We cannot say a bad word against her, again, we both want to thank her and all of the staff. Thirdly, we both want to thank Peter Wild the celebrant who did our mums service, he was fantastic and again he went through every detail with both of us, I cannot believe how he put all my mums life story together and how he read it out at her funeral. There have been a lot of lovely comments, some saying they have never been to a funeral with such a lovely service, so a big thank you to Peter.
My husband and I would definitely recommend Co-op Funeral Care.
