We were very pleased with the excellent service. We were treated with sympathy and compassion. Nothing to much trouble. They made a very emotional ordeal so much easier. Down to the smallest detail we knew Richard was in safe hands. Thank you. This was our first experience of a direct funeral. It was excellent just what Richard would have wanted.

From the day we met Alice to go through all the funeral arrangements right up to and after the funeral took place the service from Co-op Funeralcare was absolutely excellent. The care, attention to detail and personal service given to myself and Wendy I really can not fault. Everything went as well as anyone could hope. I had so many family members come to me to say what a lovely service and care.

Alice and Nicki, of Yate Co-op Funeralcare, both did their utmost to ensure a very difficult time was made easier, My husband’s death was sudden.  They understood what we wanted as a family and advised when, due to time and nature, it was not a good idea to have an open coffin when doing the final visit for family to say their farewells. 
Their recommendation for the celebrant, Dave Chapman, could not have been better and we all appreciated his input. He listened well and seemed to understand the person my husband was to us as a family. 
Thank you Alice for asking for a photo so you could see how he looked in life so even his hair could be put the way he wore it in life, for putting the final cards and labels on the flowers.  To Nicki for ensuring the final journey went smoothly and helping those who wanted to be bearers to complete their task with dignity for my late husband, their father, Grampy, and friend.
The calls to keep me updated kept me on an even keel and the final call the day after the funeral also helped as I had been feeling lost.
I would recommend Yate Co-op Funeralcare, a small team who give their all and treated my late husband with respect. Thank you

Excellent service to guide us through the process of mother's funeral arrangements. The staff were caring, compassionate & professional at all times. From the difficult decisions about the choices we had to make, to the service itself & supporting us in the time afterwards they were there to help us whenever we needed it. Can't thank them enough!

We couldn't fault the funeral and support we had when our mum died last November.
We assumed we would have the same support. We were disappointed that phone calls were left unanswered, didn't always have the same people to deal with. We had to wait a long time to before we could go and see Frank. It just added to the stress.
On a positive, the day of the funeral went really well

It was never going too be easy arranging the funeral for  my wife of 47 years. However the kind, caring and sensitive guidance encountered from Alice, Nicky and Lindsey the Celebrant who they recommended could not have been surpassed. Many thanks for what was it seemed to be doing much more than just ‘doing your job’. You assisted so much in giving my Carol the ‘send off’ she was so deserving of. THANKS.

2 stars given because we had a funeral. The lack of communication caused a lot of stress and anxiety and not knowing the final plans until the morning of the funeral was way too late. Unfortunately some of these plans were not communicated to those who actually worked the funeral on the day.
We had to do a lot of chasing up to ensure our wishes were being followed.
Deadlines weren't communicated clear enough or with enough notice.
Lewis is lovely and doing his best but one person in the branch is not enough expecially when he had to cover another branch the day before the funeral and we had zero communication. There was no one available to receive the floral tributes as requested to arrive the day before.
There were a number of family wishes sadly not carried out nor was there any communication as to why these were not followed through. A very poor show really and I am expecting some sort of compensation for all the stress.

The actual care at the crematorium was excellent but it was very difficult to speak to staff to tie up details at the office. Often had to go through head office. The knowledge of the digital services provided at the crematorium, the digital facilities and costs was vague.

Treated with genuine sympathy at a very difficult time. I was able to outline exactly what was appropriate for our family and they delivered. Lewis is excellent "front of house", he delivered exactly what was agreed. Mike led the funeral and was exactly what you would have wanted. Nothing but the highest praise for an excellent service and people.

I was impressed with the care and compassion I received throughout. Right from Lewis helping me to plan the details of my husband’s funeral, then Nick helping to put together such a wonderfully personalised service and finally Mark with his professionalism and warm humour as he guided myself and my family to and from the service.
