We could not have wished for a better send off for Barbara, a view expressed by many of those attending
From a personal point of view I felt that David Styles  and Alan were excellent

A couple of things could have been done better. Mum had an extra large coffin apparently the small was out of stock, my mum was tiny, it didn't feel like it was her. And she couldn't be carried down the aisle as the coffin was too wide, she had to be wheeled with family bearers in front and behind. We would have appreciated being given an option of choosing another coffin in a smaller size. We also asked for a copy of the slideshow that was shown during the service, it cost us £70. You wanted another £50 for the copy, which we thought was too much.

Brilliant service nothing was to much trouble for them

When removing my husbands coffin from the hearse, it was dropped onto the trolly. The lid became dislodged. Whilst at the time I was ok, it has since given me nightmares.
I feel it was unprofessional & quite disrespectful.
I am very disappointed that no-one from the Co op has been in touch to issue a formal apology or even acknowledge that it actually happened, though are quick enough to send the invoice.
I contacted Yate branch last week about it & to date have heard nothing back.
Very poor considering what is already a distressing time.

Co op made it so stress free for me and I was really happy with how the whole planning of the funeral went thanks to co op funeral care

  • 4 Jane Harris 27th Nov 2023

Although staff were very kind, patient and professional, we as a family were disappointed that the simple plan taken out 3 years ago, incurred added expenses. The company knows who has a pre-paid plan with them and I would have hoped Co-Op would have had the good manners to inform people that they will have to pay extra over and above the plan

  • 2 June Grant 25th Sep 2023

We used the co op for my mothers funeral earlier in the year the service was excellent, but this time we felt it was very poor dealing with lots of people all repeating the same  questions,  things like when we could go and see my sister in a closed coffin not addressed till late Friday and the funeral was on Monday morning,  closed at the weekend . The funeral went well in the day it only because we led it .

  • 5 Judy Smith 29th Aug 2023
