I was very impressed, by both the level of professionalism, but also the level of care offered by the Co-op team at Westbury on Trym. Alex contacted me on regular occasions to support me through the process of planning mum's funeral. She was thoughtful and helpful, raising my awareness of the things that needed to take place in order to complete the process, but she did this with sensitivity and compassion; I needed both. She helped me to liaise between the appropriate support services, such as the care staff and the chaplain at mum's care home and the staff at the Crematorium. She was great at gently reminding me to follow up on actions I needed to take, calling me on the telephone to encourage me. I was also impressed that even when the day of the burial was finished, she contacted me on a couple of occasions later, to check in on my mental health. Another aspect was the great respect staff showed both to me and my family, but also to mum, even after death. Staff were polite, asked for information about mum, when preparing her body and also showed great professionalism at the ceremony. As you can imagine, we were more than happy with the high level of service and would appreciate it if you could extend our thanks again to the team!

The staff at the W O T office were very kind and thoughtful. They gave good information and were mindful of how difficult this time has been for us. The funeral director, David was kind and helpful, keeping in touch, letting us know that our Mother was in good hands, they treated her with respect and consideration, which we appreciated greatly

Alex, the funeral director, was excellent and went well above what would be required. Everything went exactly according to plan on the day, and we were able to celebrate my dad’s life in a fitting manner that was both sensitive and respectful. All staff were really helpful, and Peter Davies, the minister, gave a brilliant service.

They have been very helpful. If we called with queries they have answered them. The kept us updated and called day before funeral to tell us how things were to run. Very polite and courteous with every contact. We didn't feel rushed in any of our decisions.

From the first meeting till after the funeral our thoughts, views and concerns were dealt with to a high standard so on the actual day of the funeral it fulfilled our wishes completely. At a time when these things are extremely delicate, emotions running high, the funeral director dealt with everything in a calm and sensitive manner to ensure the day was memorable for all the right reason.
