Very considerate, caring and helpful. Professionally excellent. My only criticism was my first phone call was diverted to a call centre, and being asked to press a certain number if someone has died was not ideal.

Was beautifully presented but I was concerned that one of the pallbearers faltered whilst loading my mothers coffin onto the plinth. I really feared he would drop it. 
Liberty was very efficient and caring in the performance of her duties.

This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had to deal with in my life. My lovely gorgeous husband passed away at the early age of 55yrs on 04/07/2022.
We used P Connells funeral directors as from last year they did my dad's and when this happened we did not have to choose who to go with it was easy P Connells again.
Liberty Carey who runs the Portishead branch is by far the perfect person for her role. She is caring, kind, understanding & well, her empathy is simply the best.
From the moment I saw her on that start of my journey in saying goodbye to Neil she was with me every step of the way, yes, I was a wreck but her kind and caring nature seemed to ease my burden and since this horrible journey we have become friends.
Even when we had the scorching hot weather Neil had to rest at the Nailsea Co op branch and ghe gentleman there was just as understanding, kind & caring as Liberty, nothing was too much for him and no pressure on how long I stayed with him, Liberty was there also when she could make it.
I did have one upsetting moment with a female member of staff who said something she should not have and I got upset but I reported the issue and have no doubt it was dealt with.
Putting this issue aside, the whole experience was made so much easier with your 2 outstanding members of staff who helped me come to terms with what's happened, and that has helped me so much with my grief and trauma and I know that my Neil was in the bestest hands possible down to Liberty & the gentleman.
Everything went beautiful on the day, the hearse the staff they could not have done a better job of decorating the hearse the flowers, they were impeccable dressed so smart and I for that I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

The ladies at P.J.Connells were so helpful and supportive. They took all the stress away from decision making. The day of the funeral was made smooth and stress free. The day was beautiful and gave our loved one the send off he deserved. Massive thank yous to Sophia and Liberty.

The whole journey with Peter J Connell was superb. During the most difficult time for the family and I, we were treated with nothing but respect and care, with the upmost professionalism. The day itself was faultless, and the coffin and flowers were the most beautiful we have ever seen. From the minute our great nanny passed away, we were looked after with love and dignity and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in our dear mum's/nan's/great nanny's care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts - if anyone needs a funeral directors, we cannot recommend Peter J Connell (Co-op Portishead) enough xxx
