Co-op Funeralcare at Maidenhead provided magnificent support to us from the moment our loved one died through to the funeral service itself. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they accommodated our requests in a very timely and unfailingly willing manner to ensure that the funeral arrangements were exactly in alignment with our wishes. At the funeral itself the service provided by the funeral director’s team was professional, discreet and appropriate to the occasion. Making funeral arrangements is not a pleasant task but Co-op Funeralcare at Maidenhead made the whole process as painless as possible and our family are very grateful for all that you did for us and our loved one.

Co-Op Maidenhead were excellent, covering for another local Co-Op funeral home that was temporarily closed. Heidi in particular was absolutely superb, all the way through the process. She has a wonderful manner which in the circumstances was exactly what was needed. She kept us informed all the way through the process and was always understanding, very professional and extremely helpful.


Unfortunately, I am unable to say the same for central Co-Op Funeral Care in Manchester. During the events of my fathers passing, I spoke to staff in Manchester 3 times, each time feeling let down. They were mostly like robots, just reading from a script sheet, unsympathetic, unwilling to provide help with a particular query regarding the [pre-paid] funeral plan, and requested information that was both unnecessary and absolutely not required nor any of their business. Thankfully, Heidi at the Maidenhead home was able to assist, again, extremely professionally, including making contact with Manchester direct on my behalf, which subsequently resolved the query virtually immediately with no further stress or upset. I cannot speak highly enough of Heidi, nor lowly enough of Manchester. Some training in empathy and basic customer service is definitely required for at least some of the staff in Manchester.

I cannot thank Heidi and her team for their professionalism and empathy. Nothing was too much trouble. Heidi made, which was a traumatic time for our family, less daunting. She sorted everything and took so much pressure from us at this heartbreaking time. Mum had a pre planned funeral, which I highly recommend with Coop. Thank you so much

Our first meeting with Heidi to discuss my mother's funeral arrangement: she was very sweet helpful and took a lot of the worry away. We liked her strsight away and felt very comfortable meeting with her. She put us at ease whenever we asked: "what about this what about that"? and her answers were always re-assuring: "we will take care of this & that". Taking the stress and burden away was very important for us and Heidi did this perfectly.

At time of grieving and feeling helpless we were glad to have Heidi's help, support and sympathy every step of the way.

Heidi arranged the perfect funeral for my mother, my sister and myself will forever be grateful to her. She was there all the way to the end.

I have used Maidenhead twice for loved ones there caring and support is above and beyond I would recommend them to anyone they made it so stress free I can’t thank them enough

Lacking in communication with myself. I sent two emails with pertinent questions which were unanswered which led to me having to phone to get my answers. 
Also no cards were put on the main floral tribute on the coffin, this I found very disappointing as people asked who that he flowers were from. Heidi said after the event that she would ensure the cards were put on the grave afterwards, but it did not happen.

The Celebrant Aimee Dando was particularly good and made the day as easy as it could be, offering advice and support. Staff who drove us there were again respectful and helpful.

Only downside was that several people couldn't hear all that was said which was disappointing. Maybe the microphone sound should be increased.

If felt that the office space in Slough, due to Heidi from the Maidenhead office being on leave and therefore closed for a week, was not appropriate to be asked all the questions about the options I was asked to choose for the funeral of my Mum. It was poorly decorated and felt tired. There was no privacy and other bereaved families came in during my time there. I also felt that the questions were bombarded at me, and if I hesitated with a response it felt like I had made a mistake. I would like to suggest you provide a separte room for all consultatations and ensure even if staff are under pressure they understand not everyone deals with funerals every day and quick responses at a difficult time are not always possible. The space at Maidenhead was a lot smarter and Heidi's manner was very gentle.
