First class service received from all staff, made the whole experience so easy for us for which we will be forever grateful. Nothing was too much trouble they are so professional but very empathic honestly could not fault anything.

Could not fault the services of the whole team from Mik and Arlene at the removal to Shirley during the arrangements, Helen during our visit to grandad, and to Angie, lindsay and Bill on the day for their professionalism despite being completely soaked from the rain. Thank you all. It was a lovely service for grandad and he would have been proud.

From the first meeting with Shirley all arrangements were made with her guidance and support which was very much appreciated. She kept in regular contact until the day of the funeral to make sure everything went as discussed. I also spoke to Angela and guided me on what would happen on the day which was comforting also she phoned the following day to ask if I was ok. The family were very impressed service.

I found Angie to be the epitome of understanding and most helpful in the various stages of the process.
All my relatives and friends who attended Margaret's funeral, commented on how well the occasion went. I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending William Black Funeralcare for a caring, efficient funeral service.

  • 3 Josie McIntosh 29th Nov 2023

The lady that I dealt with was lovely however, I think getting this text for feedback is one of the most distasteful things I have ever come across. Less than a week from my father's cremation.

I can’t thank Blacks , Angela and all her team enough for the comfort , help and attention they gave me after the death of my wife Lynda.
These are the kind of people you need at these sad times and they provide their services with so much love and dignity .

  • 5 Nairn Beattie 30th Jan 2023

Angie was exceptional. Although this was a simple funeral, Angie was supportive and had a natural rapore that made us all feel comfortable. She has a great sense of humour and happy to discuss other things out with the funeral to keep the human side engaged. It was like a good friend was helping out and not something that felt contractual or business like.

I wish Angie all the best and that she gets to have her feet up after a busy January.

Massive thanks from the Family of the late Doris and Brian Beattie.

    Nairn. x

The staff were brilliant all the way through. They were supportive and gave us time to think about things . They were also extremely good about keeping in touch with us.

  • 3 Joyce Renilson 26th Jan 2023

On behalf of Joyce as Alans brother we found the church arrangements very disappointing. There was no organisation for family re seating. We were left standing at the front of the church after the service waiting for someone to return to guide us out. The organ was not working which I find hard to believe was not thoroughly checked prior to the service. Staff from the church were moaning about the route the coffin was coming in which was overheard by family. We had to continue moving in the line up to let church staff gain access for bibles. Although numbers were large it was expected and the church was totally disorganised and not prepared properly which was truly disappointing.

  • 5 Mary Joss 23rd Jan 2023

At such a sad time it was heart warming to be guided through the process by your Staff, three ladies who were kind, helpful, and very professional throughout. As a family, we could not have hoped for a more comforting service.

  • 5 Gail Graham 3rd Jan 2023

    Excellent service

  • 5 Nancy Stormont 12th Dec 2022

Excellent service and very caring staff.

  • 5 Fiona Eaton 5th Dec 2022

Can’t fault them they were so helpful at this difficult time

  • 5 Richard Lindsay 28th Nov 2022

From first contacting William Black funeralcare the service we have received has been excellent From the beginning to the end and would not hesitate to recommend

  • 4 Trevor Hodgson 2nd Nov 2022

I didn't rate as excellent only because of a delay to the coffin that seemed to be the fault of a courier.

William Black (Shirley) worked very hard to correct that and even had a Plan B in case. In the end, all was well and keeping the Chapel of Rest open late in the evening so that I could see my wife was so very appreciated.

All else was excellent, the stationary exceptional, the flowers beautiful, the vehicles punctual, the staff very respectful and curtious, and the crematorium well kept and serene.

    I thank everyone involved.
