It would have been excellent - and the staff were! - but on the day the sound system failed meaning the song my late husband especially wanted at his funeral, "Ombra mai fu" sung by Kathleen Ferrier, wasn't played, nor
was his choice of leaving music.
That is an everlasting disappointment.

Having used David Mackay's earlier this year the decision was made to use them again, as their service was excellent.
This time around their service was every bit as good, very professional, they took all the stress away from me worrying had I done everything, I was kept informed of everything that was happening or was going to happen.
I can't thank them enough.

Funeral arrangements were very good, Hailey who assisted myself and family did so in a very professional and understanding way.
She guided me through each step even when I stumbled a bit. Undertakers were very good and attentive at St Thomas Church and Cemetery. They were very smartly turned out and Michael gave me a courtesy call beforehand and informed me of funeral procedure for funeral day. I really was so grateful for that call and put my mind at ease.
I would have no hesitation in recommending your services.

From the moment I made enquiries I was treated with respect and given all the information which led to arrangements for a home visit by one of your representatives who kept in touch and gave me contact numbers for a florist,
The Dundee Courier and the lady who was to give the tribute to my husband.
The Humanist Cremation Ceremony was much admired and I cannot thank you all enough for the advice and support I received.

I would have given 5 stars for Haley Smith and Michael Jackson (who we met initially) for their caring, compassionate, helpful support while helping with Mums funeral. On the day of the funeral I arrived in the limousine to find all who were attending the funeral outside (they said the door was only opened as we arrived). I found  this very upsetting. I was then ushered by the undertaker Michael Hatton who I and the had not met straight into the service ahead of everyone else. He had met my sister at 4:30 the day before as I live in Pitlochry and told her we would go into the side room until everyone had arrived just as had happened at my Dads funeral. The immediate family flowers were not placed on the coffin some others were which also upset me, the driver attended to that for me. Had Haley been there this would certainly not have happened. I find this practice of the undertaker only arranging to meeting immediate family the day before the funeral extremely bad management. My sister and I had been in to see Mum and discuss things with Haley over the weeks before the funeral and I had observed that Haley seemed to be the only person on the premises, if this is common practice it is also bad practice with the sensitive nature of the job. The day of the funeral should not be stressful.
