Everyone we had dealings with showed understanding and sensitivity at such a sad time.  Guidance was given and arrangements were efficiently put in place.  At all stages there was a high level of communication to ensure our requirements were met.  We have no hesitation in recommending Wm Gilchrist Funeralcare.

I cannot speak highly enough about the service, care and compassion that I received from Wm. Gilchrist at Rose Street Aberdeen in relation to the passing of my brother.

From start to finish everything was first class.

A postmortem had to be carried out on my brother and there was a delay in this taking place which meant that they were looking after my brother for slightly longer than normal. Throughout all of this they kept me informed of what was happening and of where my brother was.

After the postmortem was completed I was able to go and see my brother. They had carried out a fantastic job and although it had been a number of days since his passing he looked exactly the same as the last time I spoke to him and this continued right up until the day of his funeral which was fantastic for me as it meant I could sit with him on a daily basis.

The rest room that my brother was in was very nice and very comfortable to be in and it allowed me to spend time with him for those last few days which helped me immensely with my grieving.

I would like to make a special mention of Susan who dealt with all of our queries, concerns and conversations. She has a very compassionate, kind and calm manner which really helped me through this very sad time. All of my questions were answered by her very thoughtfully and compassionately and she is most certainly a credit to Wm. Gilchrist.

There are obviously other members of staff who carry out work in the background whom I never met. I would like to thank those very much for everything that they did whilst looking after my brother.

From start to finish, the team at Wm Gilchrist (Co-operative) Aberdeen, have been outstanding.
Julie welcomed us to a first meeting after Mum’s passing and helped us all the way through, sensitively and professionally.
We had to change the day of the service which clashed with the date of a friend’s funeral and Julie did this without any hassle.
The chapel at Bucksburn was  just the right size, clean and comfortable & the undertaker guided us through the proceedings with care.  Everything was organised the way Mum would have wanted.

From my first visit to the service Steven McNally was absolutely amazing and made this very hard process more bearable keeping in contact with me most days getting my husband home and making sure everything was perfect and never rushing my decisions
