West Lancashire Crematorium in St Burscough serves communities in and around Southport, Maghull, Appley Bridge, Skelmersdale and Orrell. It is situated in the midst of 40 acres of manicured lawns, and offers a peaceful location to arrange as dignified funeral for your loved one.

The crematorium chapel is airy and well-lit and is open to services that reflect all kinds of religious faiths and beliefs, and can be decorated according to the wishes of the family. A funeral service can be held every 45 minutes, and extra time can be requested on payment of an additional charge.

There is seating for up to 100 guests. There is a modern digital music system providing an extensive list of funeral music, or families can make use of the Envoy 23-S organ that can be used in the chapel. Other facilities include the use of a Tribute screen that can display photos or a slideshow, webcasting services and relay of the service via speaker for larger crowds who may stand outside. The funeral service can also be recorded on a CD as a keepsake or given to family or friends who are unable to attend on the day.

Staff are happy to take families around the grounds for a tour and discuss the various memorial options that are available. There are living memorials such as trees, communal shrub beds or family gardens to choose from or opt for a traditional tribute such as a mini grave, desk tablet, an ashes vault or a hand-carved garden memorial. Alternatively, you can choose to purchase cremation jewellery or glass art to remember your loved one.
