West Berkshire Crematorium
About Us
West Berkshire Crematorium is situated in the tranquil countryside of Thatcham in the royal county of Berkshire, with extensive gardens of remembrance. There is 45 minutes between each service, which includes arrival and departure. Longer services can be arranged for an additional fee. The chapel at West Berkshire Crematorium is the largest, purpose-built crematorium chapel in the country and can seat 96 mourners, with standing space for up to 50 additional people. Services can be relayed via speakers to people outside the chapel, webcast to people who cannot attend in person and recorded on DVD. An extensive selection of music is available on the crematorium's digital music system. After the service floral tributes can be displayed outside the crematorium for at least 2 nights, and donated for display in the chapel. There are more than 250 trees in the gardens of remembrance, and an extensive range of traditional, contemporary and living memorials can be installed in them. There are 76 parking spaces at West Berkshire Crematorium, but it is also possible to park in the grounds. The office at West Berkshire Crematorium is open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. The gardens of remembrance are open all year round. The opening hours on weekdays are 8am-6pm, April to October and 8am-5pm, November to March. They are open 9am-5pm at weekends and bank holidays throughout the year.117,341 verified reviews
