Skipton Crematorium opened in 1952 and is located in the heart of Waltonwrays Cemetery.

The crematorium chapel can seat up to 64 people, with additional standing room and outside speakers.The chapel is accessible to wheelchair users, and the lectern is fitted with an induction loop system for the hard of hearing.

Inside the chapel there are two large television screens where you can show photo tributes of your loved one. There is also an online music system which allows music to be ordered from an extensive list, covering anything from traditional classical to modern pop songs. The selection also includes a large selection of hymns, but there is an organ available for use if you would prefer this.

As well as the main chapel, Skipton Crematorium has a Remembrance Chapel, which houses the Book of Remembrance, Walton Gallery, Tree of Life, Book of Condolence and at Christmas a memorial tree.

Skipton Crematorium office is open from 9am to 4:30pm, from Monday to Friday.
