North East Surrey Crematorium
About Us
North East Surrey Crematorium in Morden, Surrey is easily accessible by mainland rail and bus from London. The crematorium has two multi-faith chapels which both provide seating for 80 people, with room for an additional 40 mourners to stand. Funeral services can be broadcast to people outside of the chapels via a PA system and television screens, webcast and recorded on DVD. There is an electronic organ for the performance of live music. Recorded music can be selected from a wide range on a Wesley music system. The crematorium is equipped with toilets, including disabled toilet. Other facilities include a hearing loop and a wheelchair. There is a waiting area outside of the chapels, which provides shelter from bad weather, for mourners to await the arrival of the funeral procession. The garden of remembrance at North East Surrey Crematorium is entered via a cloistered passage. A wide range of memorials, including rose bushes and memorial seats, can be installed. The book of remembrance is displayed in a dedicated remembrance building in the garden of remembrance. Copies of the entry are available in vellum-bound miniature replicas of the book of remembrance. The gates of North East Surrey Crematorium open at 8am Monday to Saturday and 10am on Sundays. The gates close at 4pm November to February; 7pm May to August; 5pm March and October; 6pm April and September. The crematorium is open on Christmas Day, but closes at 1pm.114,788 verified reviews
