Catering to the diverse North London community, New Southgate Cemetery and Crematorium is a beautiful Victorian cemetery and crematorium which sits within sixty acres of a tranquil green space. The historic site was established in 1856 and currently offers funeral services for those of any faith, as well as non-religious funerals and celebrations of life.

The crematorium chapel is equipped with modern facilities for a traditional or personalised funeral. Funerals are allocated 45 minutes in the chapel, but this time can be extended for an additional fee.

The warm and welcoming chapel can seat up to 100 guests, with plenty of standing space outside. Families can choose their preferred music to be played on a digital music system and the entire service can be relayed via loudspeakers for larger groups.

Two monitors at the chapel allow families to play photo slideshows or a video tribute if they wish to do so.

There is a book of remembrance at the chapel where families can record details of their loved one’s life. In addition, memorial cards and books can be ordered as personal keepsakes or shared with friends or relatives.

There are various memorial options available after a cremation service at New Southgate Crematorium. This includes mini graves, cremation tablets, kerbs, vases and wall plaques, or contemporary options for ashes including granite benches and bird baths. Living memorials include rose trees, shrub beds or family gardens. Others may prefer an unique personal memorial such a glass art or jewellery made from cremation ashes.

There are 60 parking spaces available at this crematorium which largely serves communities in Haringey, East Barnet and Enfield.
