Mintlyn Crematorium is located in Bawsey, close to King’s Lynn.
The crematorium chapel can seat approximately 100 people, and is fully accessible for disabled people. There is also a hearing induction loop system for hearing-aid users. The chapel can be used for either religious or non-religious services. During the service, you can play any music that you want using either the modern Obitus music system or the traditional organ that will be played by the resident organist.
Mintlyn Crematorium also offers families the choice of commissioning a Visual Tribute to their loved one, where a series of special photos can be shown on large screens in the chapel, either set to a special piece of music, or played silently on a loop throughout the service.
Sadly, there are times when family members cannot attend a funeral for a number of reasons. In these cases Mintlyn offers a live webcast facility and the option to save the service on DVD for viewing at a later date, or as a lasting memory of the service.
The Gardens of Remembrance at Mintlyn Crematorium are spread over 17-acres, and are a blend of informal woodland glades and lawns. Formal and informal walkways divide the grounds for memorial shrubs, conifers and kerbs which are used as spaces for memorial plaques.
The office at Mintlyn Crematorium is open from 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday. The grounds and Book of Remembrance are open seasonally. From October until March you can visit from 8:30am until 5pm from Monday to Friday, from 9am until 5pm on weekends and bank holidays, and from 10am until 4:30pm on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. From April to September you can visit from 8:30am until 6pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 5pm on weekends and bank holidays. There are 70 parking spaces, and 5 disabled spaces in the car park.
