Lambeth Crematorium and Cemetery
About Us
Lambeth Crematorium in Tooting was open in 1958 to cater to the local community and surrounding areas of South London. The spacious chapel is light and welcoming and open to all religious denominations, as well as non-religious funerals or secular services celebrating the life of the person who has died.
Funeral services may be held at the crematorium chapel, or alternatively, the family may choose to hold a service at a place of worship before or after the cremation takes place.
The chapel has a public access system and music can be provided at no extra cost. Staff are happy to help families choose and play their own choice of music.
Lambeth Crematorium and Cemetery has 10 acres of beautiful greenery including manicured lawns, mature shrubs and a woodland area where crocuses and daffodils bloom in spring.
After a cremation here, families are welcome to place flowers on the platforms on adjacent sides of the Book of Remembrance Room and purchase a memorial rose bush or an ornamental tree in the memorial gardens after an ashes scattering.
For an everlasting record of your loved one’s life, you may enter details in Lambeth Crematorium’s Book of Remembrance as a memorial tribute. Please get in touch with staff if you want a copy of the entry into the book.
There is limited car parking available at this Tooting crematorium. The nearest tube station is Tooting Broadway. Please get in touch with the experienced team if you have any questions or would like some guidance on arranging a funeral for your loved one.
