About Us

Honor Oak Crematorium is located within Camberwell New Cemetery, close to Honor Oak, Nunhead and Peckham. The crematorium chapel was originally built in 1939, and was recently refurbished to a high standard.

The chapel has seating for 70 people spread over the main hall, and an upstairs gallery. There is additional standing room in the entrance hall for larger congregations. During the ceremony, music is available through a modern Obitus system, which allows you to choose any song or piece of music you wish. The screens in the chapel can be used to display photo and video tributes, and a webcam is available to livestream or record the funeral service.

The 2.5 hectares of formally landscaped gardens, woodland and shrubberies provide a tranquil and contemplative space for you to reflect and remember your loved one. There are many options for memorials, ranging from an inscription in the Book of Remembrance, to wall or kerb mounted plaques, roses, trees and more.

The gardens at Honor Oak Crematorium are open everyday from 9am until 5pm, apart from Sundays when they open at 10am.
