Greenock Crematorium
About Us
Greenock Crematorium is located within one of the largest cemeteries in Europe, with the Old Kirk being established in 1589. The modern borders date back to 1846, with the crematorium being built in the 1950s.
The crematorium chapel can seat up to 63 people. The upper balcony is currently closed due to operational reasons.
The gardens of remembrance at Greenock Crematorium are available for strewing ashes, but you can also choose to have the ashes interred in a lair, or take them home with you. There is also a Book of Remembrance at the crematorium. The book is displayed in the small memorial chapel and the entries are available for viewing on the anniversary date. The Crematorium provides wall plaques which can be located in the Garden of Remembrance.
