About Us
Great Yarmouth Crematorium has been providing cremation, burial and remembrance services for over 50 years. The tranquil grounds located on Oriel Avenue, near the A143, provide a peaceful retreat for the local community.
The crematorium chapel at Great Yarmouth is the largest in Norfolk, with seating space for 120 people. The chapel is fully equipped with modern conveniences, including a sound system, digital screens, and webcasting capabilities. The car park can accommodate 53 cars, and is a short, flat walk away from the chapel - there is also dedicated parking for disabled guests. Services last for 45-minutes, which includes around 20 minutes in the undercover flower cloister and koi pond.
The gardens and grounds that make up Great Yarmouth Crematorium have been designed to be tranquil, calming and uplifting. The gardens contain a range of shrubs and rose trees which can be dedicated to your loved one. Other memorial options include having a plaque installed on the sandstone tower, above-ground vaults and sanctums, and memorial benches. The gardens are maintained all year-round by a dedicated team of gardeners.
The crematorium office at Great Yarmouth is open from 9am until 4:30pm every weekday, and is closed on weekends. The grounds are open every day from 7:30am, They close at 7:30pm from April to September, and at 4:30pm from October to March.
