Great Glen Crematorium
About Us
Great Glen Crematorium located to the south west of Leicester, with a modern facility designed to blend naturally into the surrounding countryside. Accommodating religious funerals of many faiths and denominations, as well as non-religious services and celebrations of life, up to 60 minutes is allocated for ceremonies held in the crematorium chapel. Funerals can be held at the Leicester crematorium on weekdays, with Saturday funerals accommodated, subject to an additional fee, by request. The Great Glen Crematorium chapel is light and airy with seating for up to 100 mourners as well as ample standing room. For larger funerals, the service can be relayed outside to a comfortable covered area. The chapel has a Wesley music system with a wide selection of music, as well as a traditional organ available for funerals. There is also a tribute screen that can display photo slideshows to accompany services. DVD and audio recording is available, as well as webcasting facilities for mourners unable to be present at the service. There is an induction loop for the hard of hearing and the facility is wheelchair accessible. The Garden of Remembrance at this Leicestershire crematorium provides a range of ways to memorialise loved ones, including a selection of memorial masonry.
