About Us
The Forest of Dean Crematorium serves the communities of Chepstow, Monmouth, Lydney and Ross-on-Wye.
The Crematorium's multi-faith chapel has seating for 69 mourners and standing room for an additional 50 people. Services can also be broadcast to people in the crematorium's foyer through a speaker-system.
The standard duration of a cremation service at Forest of Dean Crematorium is 60 minutes. An extended service is available for an additional fee.
A large range of music can be selected from a digital music system. Funerals at Forest of Dean Crematorium can be personalised with visual tributes, such as photographs. Floral tributes can be viewed on the Flower Terrace and remain on display for at least 3 days after the funeral.
Forest of Dean Crematorium is set in the centre of the forest with beautiful views of the surrounding area. The grounds feature abundant flowers and trees. A range of traditional and contemporary memorials, including memorial trees, can be installed in the garden of remembrance. The pages of the book of remembrance are turned every day, so that entries are visible on the anniversary of a person's death.
The office at Forest of Dean Crematorium is open 08:30-5:00 pm, Monday to Friday all year round. The grounds are open every day; 08:30-5:00 pm in the winter, and 08:30-8:00 pm in the summer.
