Efford Cemetery and Crematorium
About Us
Efford Cemetery and Crematorium serves the local community of Plymouth. The crematorium is situated within Efford Cemetery, which looks after 338 First World War Commonwealth war graves and 109 Second World War Commonwealth war graves.
The multi-faith chapel can seat 70 people, and there is also additional standing room. Music can be performed by a live organist or selected from a digital system. Services can feature visual tributes, webcast and recorded on CDs or DVDs for a fee.
As well as wheelchair access and a disabled toilet, the disabled facilities at Efford Crematorium include braille hymn books and a hearing loop.
A range of memorials can be installed in the gardens of remembrance, including plaques, granite tablets and living memorials. There is also a columbarium and nice room within the crematorium, and a book of remembrance.
The Crematorium Office is open 9am-4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 4pm on Fridays. The office is closed on weekends and on public holidays. The gardens of remembrance are open every day all year round, 9am-4:30pm.
