The Cambridge City Crematorium, established in 1938, is located on the Huntingdon Road north-west of the city itself. Operated by the City Council, the crematorium offers an ideal setting for your loved one's funeral service.
The crematorium has two chapels, the much older East Chapel which was built at the same time as the facility was established, and the West, was added in 1991. The East Chapel contains many traditional features and has seating for up to 55 guests. The West Chapel is much larger and contemporary in its design, with 190 seats. Both have a waiting room which includes hot drink and snack facilities.
The tranquil Gardens of Remembrance have many large trees and beautiful water features ideal for scattering your loved one's ashes. This can be arranged by appointment with Cambridge City Crematorium staff. Alternatively, a memorial marker such as plaque or vault may be selected.
