The Bournemouth Crematorium, which is located next to North Cemetery on Strouden Avenue, is beautifully set in a Green Flag site making it one of Bournemouth’s most attractive green spaces.

Opened in 1938, the crematorium run by the local authority, features rose gardens, a children’s butterfly garden and a beautiful woodland area ideal for burying your loved one. The stunning stone building, has been renovated to the highest standard, and has two chapels that can host intimate groups of up to 40, or larger crowds up to 100. A floral court for tributes to your loved one sits beside each of these. and There is also a waiting room allowing you and your family to gather privately, and in comfort, before the service begins.

For disabled guests, Bournemouth Crematorium has many accessibility features, including hearing loops and wheelchairs that can be loaned. Parking is permitted in the cemetery drives, to ensure the turning of hearses can carefully be facilitated.
