Blackley Cemetery and Crematorium
About Us
Blackley Crematorium in Manchester, open in 1965 was opened by Manchester City Council to cater to the local community in Blackley. The Crematorium is equipped with state of the art facilities including a newly refurbished Centre Chapel with stained glass windows, offering a peaceful space for families to mourn their loved ones and to hold a respectful funeral service. It also has a serene memorial garden which is surrounded by neat rows of plants. The chapel can accommodate up to 300 people and the two smaller chapels which sit adjacent to it can each seat up to 60 people. A library of music is available for families to choose from. Many families choose to play their own music to personalise the service and staff are happy to support them. All chapels have a sound system and a loop induction system.
Parking is available next to the Crematorium building, and toilets are available at the Cemetery office which sits opposite the Crematorium.
For more information about the facilities or if you have any other questions about how to arrange a cremation at Blackley Crematorium, please get in touch with the staff.
The office is open on weekdays from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
