Funeral Guide is now the number one funeral website in the UK, with over half a million pageviews per month.
Since launching in 2013, Funeral Guide has grown to become the UK’s most visited funeral website, according to Amazon’s Alexa.com, the Internet’s authoritative source for traffic statistics.
The Co-op’s Funeralcare website previously held the top spot for many years, but Funeral Guide’s ever-growing monthly traffic means the national chain have slipped into second place on Alexa’s ranking system, behind Funeral Guide. The Co-op are the largest funeral director in the UK, operating over 1,000 funeral homes across the country.
With its mission statement to help the bereaved, Funeral Guide offers all the information and advice you need after the death of a loved one, in one convenient central place.
Funeral Guide’s independent reviews allow the bereaved to compare local funeral directors and make an informed choice when arranging their loved one’s funeral. With more than 5,000 independent reviews across the country, Funeral Guide is helping more people than ever before find the right funeral director for them.
Its Help and Resources section provides valuable practical information when you need it most and the Funeral Guide blog, launched just over 12 months ago, has become a leading voice online, with articles on everything from the latest Government legislation affecting the bereaved, to interviews with leading end-of-life care experts.
Funeral Guide’s free obituaries give mourners a space to share memories of their loved one and offer condolences to the bereaved. Visitors to an obituary can leave messages and photos, light virtual candles, and raise money for charity in a loved one’s name. Funeral Guide’s partnership with JustGiving has raised nearly £2 million for charitable causes through its online obituaries.
“Funeral Guide has seen some impressive growth over the last 12 months and we are reaching more bereaved people than ever through our practical Help and Resources section, thoughtful blog posts and independent funeral director reviews,” said Gary Moyle, Funeral Guide’s head of digital.
“We will continue our efforts to help the bereaved by ensuring we are there for them with helpful, easy-to-find information at a time when they need it most.”
